- First launch The GUI, its three views, Settings, the themes and the font size.

- Quick start From a raw folder to a validated BIDS dataset in nine steps.
What you need
| Computer | A Mac with Apple silicon or an Intel processor, a Windows 10 or 11 PC, or a Linux PC |
| Python | None, with the installers. With pip, uv or conda: Python 3.10 to 3.14 |
| Disk | About 2 GB for BIDS Manager, plus room for your raw data and for the dataset it writes |
| Memory | 8 GB is enough for the samples; long MEG recordings and large DICOM folders use more |
| Network | To install, to download samples, to check for a new version, and the first time a brain-mask network runs (the quality check, skull stripping with mindgrab). Everything else works offline. |
